Our thoughts: To be honest, the new version of this film with Jim Carrey was fine, but the makeup was a bit off-putting and I’m going to be honest: It scared the heck out of my daughter. Our thoughts: There have been plenty of versions of this movie made, from awful 80s TV movies to not-quite-as-awful 90s reboots, but the original is still the gold standard for this tale of Kris Kringle in New York City.
